Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati is a Grant-in-Aid Institute of Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India and a unit of Tata Memorial Centre (Mumbai). It is a 260 bedded hospital with state-of-the art facility for treatment of cancer. The Institute also conducts various academic courses and training programme. Approximately 12,000 new cancer patients and 80,000 old cancer patients visit the Institute every year.
